The HiTek Tech course · Taught by Manasseh Lee
Make AI Work for You from the Standpoint of Your Craft
Your experience is the starting point. Learn to use AI for tasks you recognize, ask better questions, and check the answers before you act on them.
Four live online sessions. October 26; November 2, 9, and 16, 2026.
Mondays, 7:00–8:30 p.m. Central. One upfront payment covers the complete series.
Bring your craft. Keep your judgment.
Who it’s for
You already have
something to build on.
For adult learners who want a useful starting point—not a tour of every new AI tool. You might be a teacher, an administrative assistant, a tradesperson, a creative, a caregiver, or a business owner.
No programming background is needed. Start with a message, a plan, or a recurring task you understand well enough to review.
What you’ll practice
- Explain a task with enough context and clear limits.
- Create a first draft without treating it as a final answer.
- Spot missing details, unsupported claims, and invented facts.
- Revise the draft and check it against your original goal.
- Protect private information and verify important claims with real sources.
The four-session series
Learn it. Try it.
Make it your own.
The same method runs through every session. The tasks change, so you can practice applying it beyond a single example.
- 01
Foundations
Understand what AI does, where it can help, and why a confident answer may still be wrong. Learn Describe → Create → Review → Refine.
Practice: turn fictional meeting notes into an action plan, then check what the draft added or left out.
- 02
Everyday life
Work on messages, event plans, and explanations. Practice spotting scam signals: urgency, secrecy, unusual payment requests, wrong details, and promises that seem too good to be true.
Practice: plan an event or draft a message you need, using non-sensitive information.
- 03
Work & business
Draft a business description, customer message, or marketing piece. Turn meeting notes into next steps without letting AI invent commitments.
Practice: check prices, dates, hours, contact details, and claims before a draft becomes public.
- 04
Safety & your toolkit
Decide what not to share, recognize scam and deepfake warning signs, and verify AI claims with real sources. Choose the prompts and habits you want to keep.
Practice: build a personal AI toolkit with a never-share list, reusable prompts, and a verification checklist.
How the teaching works
The review is
part of the lesson.
A polished response can still contain a made-up detail. That’s why the course pairs creating with checking—not just writing a more elaborate prompt.
A safe starting point
Use fictional or non-sensitive material while you practice. Don’t paste real names, addresses, account details, health records, or financial information into an AI tool.
For important decisions, check trustworthy sources and use qualified human advice where needed. Asking AI to “show its work” is a starting point for verification, not proof.

Your instructor
Manasseh Lee
Founder of HiTek Tech, K–6 technology teacher, and educator and technologist with 20+ years in education and technology. Manasseh holds an MBA and a BS in Computer Science.
The course brings those perspectives together: explain the idea clearly, connect it to a real task, and leave room to practice.
For organizations
A shorter introduction
for your meeting.
The 40-minute meeting edition condenses the approach into an introduction, demonstration, and guided practice. It is a starting point—not a replacement for the full series.

Start with a question
about your own craft.
Think of one task you would like help with and one detail you would need to verify. You don’t need to send private documents to ask about the course.
Registration is through Stripe. Use an email address you check for class access instructions. For device questions or access needs, email contact@hitektech.net before registering.
Tuition includes the four sessions and learning materials. Individual consulting and unlimited between-session support are not included.
