Black Tech Thursday – Addison happened on February 19, organized by Blacks United in Leading Technology International (BUiLT North Texas) , the largest Black tech group in North Texas. March 2026 Grant Deadlines for Southern Dallas

Okay, now let's talk money. These are real funding opportunities with deadlines in March. If you're running a business or nonprofit in Southern Dallas, Oak Cliff, or the surrounding areas, some of these were literally built for you. Don't sleep on them.

March 1 , Southern Dallas Growth Initiative (Program Launch)

• Program runs: March 1 – May 31, 2026
• Who it's for: Businesses doing $100K+ in annual revenue that are scaling toward their first $1M.
• What you get: Expert guidance and financial support from The UPS Foundation and Wells Fargo Foundation.
• Focus: Southern Dallas entrepreneurs specifically.

March 15 (5:00 PM CST) , State Fair of Texas Community Giving Program

Man, this one is serious. Last year they gave out $654,000+ to 145 organizations in the South Dallas/Fair Park area. Here's the breakdown:

• Base grant: $2,500 unrestricted
• Completion bonus: Additional $5,000 after finishing the Non-Profit Impact Institute Clinic Series
• Site visit bonus: $1,000 if selected for on-site review
• Focus areas: Education, economic development, capacity building, food security
• Eligibility: Nonprofits serving South Dallas/Fair Park neighborhoods (includes parts of Oak Cliff and areas within your target community)

March 30 , The DEC Network Non-Profit Impact Institute

• Award: $2,500 unrestricted grant
• Bonus: Additional $5,000 upon completing the clinic series
• Focus: Nonprofit capacity building in North Texas
